“Never Give Up!”  “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”  Galatians 6:9

In the middle of the dark days of World War II  Winston Churchill uttered an eight-word speech of encouragement to a gathered group of Londoners:  “Never give up!  Never, never, never give up!”

Salvation is by grace because Jesus refused to stop His mission.  He suffered until the end at Calvary and said, “It is finished.”  We are the beneficiaries of a Saviour Who would not quit until the task was accomplished.

We are often too easily discouraged.  We quit too early simply because our goal is not quickly reached.

It takes determination and persistence to achieve your goal.  You can stop before the finish line and not win the prize.  “Be faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.” Revelation 2:10

Do not quit teaching Sunday School.  You are helping people learn the Bible.  Do not quit your marriage.  Better times are ahead.  God rewards faithfulness.  Do not quit your job or school.  You are closer than you think to reaching a new level.  Most of all, do not lose your faith.  God will cause you to triumph.  An inner joy and peace is about to break through in your spirit.  Never give up!

“We are not here to play, to dream, to drift.

There is hard work to do and loads to lift.

Shun not the struggle;  Face it!  ‘Tis God’s gift.”
